Celebrating the 22nd Edition of Mathematical Excellence

The Annual National Mathematics Competition (ANMC) is a prestigious event celebrating mathematics and academic excellence in Nigeria. Jointly organized by Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) and the National Mathematical Center (NMC), the competition is open to Primary 5 and 6 pupils, as well as JSS1-3 students.

Now in its 22nd edition, the ANMC continues to inspire young minds, foster a love for mathematics, and encourage collaboration among students, educators, and parents nationwide. Through this initiative, NTIC and NMC remain committed to nurturing Nigeria's future leaders in STEM fields.

ANMC features tailored challenges for different educational levels, designed to stimulate mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Primary School

Engaging competitions for primary school students from grades 1-6, focusing on foundational math concepts and logical reasoning.

Examination Day

December 6, 2025

Nationwide examination held at designated centers in the North and South zones. All registered participants will be assigned to their nearest center.

Award Ceremony

January 18, 2026

Who can participate in the competition?

The competition is open to pupils in Primary 5 and 6, and students in JSS 1, JSS 2, and JSS 3. Participants must be enrolled in a recognized educational institution in Nigeria.

What is the format of the competition?

The competition is a single-day, multiple-choice examination held at designated centers. It tests problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning appropriate for each category. The exam duration is 90 minutes for all categories.

How do we register?

You can register through our online registration form. Schools can also register their students in batches. Ensure you have all required student and school details ready, including full names, date of birth, class, and school information.

Is there a registration fee?

No, registration for the ANMC is completely free for all participants, thanks to our sponsors, NTIC and NMC. We believe in providing equal opportunity for all students to participate regardless of financial background.

What are the prizes for winners?

Winners receive certificates, medals, trophies, and educational materials. Top performers may also qualify for scholarships to Nigerian Tulip International Colleges and other educational opportunities.
